Volmoed's 40th Birthday

The #Volmoed40 program will kick off in November 2025, with a time of discernment about what it means to be a sustainable intentional community of faith in our current context. We are in the process of setting up a series of other events to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Volmoed and the 10th anniversary of the Volmoed Youth Program.

November 2025 Events:

Day and residential visitors are welcome at both the retreat and the workshop. However, if you are planning to stay overnight at Volmoed, please book your own self-catering accommodation via the Volmoed website (https://www.volmoed.co.za/collections/accommodation/). If you would like other accommodation options in the Hemel en Aarde or Hermanus areas, www.booking.com and www.lekkeslaap.co.za will provide you with a range of options. Alternatively, feel free to contact the Volmoed office for assistance and advice.

The fees for the retreat and workshop are R1500 each, to cover registration and catering for each day you attend (i.e. lunches and morning/afternoon teas). This is a three-day dialogue-based workshop reflecting on people’s experiences of historical and current models of intentional faith-based community, with the aim of discerning key themes and issues that will inform a bigger, more forward-looking, event in mid-2026.
